Constance Thurmond 

Founder & Principal

Founder of Kora Insights and the architect behind its proprietary method for AGM design, portfolio activation, and investor engagement. Constance leads strategy, investor relationships, partnerships, and the storytelling that shapes how emerging managers build trust with LPs and founders. Constance graduated with a degree in Ethics, Politics & Economics from Yale University and is also a professional dancer.

Paige oversees client delivery, event execution, and systems design for Kora’s AGM and portfolio event strategy. With experience at EY and a background as an actress and associate producer, she brings the rare blend of operational rigor and creative direction required to deliver high-impact, narrative-driven events.

André Blackman 

Advisor

André Blackman is a pioneering strategist, advisor and executive coach with 15+ years at the intersection of healthcare innovation, startups, and digital ecosystems. His work has consistently focused on building the future of health through an equity lens — equipping leaders and organizations with the tools, relationships, and strategy needed to create meaningful, scalable impact.

 

He advises early stage startups, mission-driven venture funds, and philanthropic initiatives — bringing a rare blend of strategic insight, storytelling acumen, and ecosystem intuition.

 

André previously served as a Partner at True Search, leading within the Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Social Impact practices, and was the founder of Onboard Health, a nationally recognized executive search and ecosystem platform connecting underrepresented talent to transformative opportunities in health innovation.

 

His thought leadership has been featured in Business Insider, Fortune, Forbes, NPR, CIO, Reporting on Health, and U.S. News & World Report. He was named to Fortune’s 40 Under 40 in Healthcare in 2020.

Dustin Shay

Advisor

With a passion for embedding equity into the innovation economy, Dustin backs the next generation of fund managers with Mission Driven Finance, helping them deliver meaningful investor returns and measurable social benefit. He is also the founder of Shay Impact, a boutique philanthropic advisory firm, and a board member of the Black Innovation Alliance, a national network of innovator support organizations led by and focused on Black founders.

Since 2013, Dustin has worked with pioneering impact investing organizations to develop new strategies and partnerships to scale support for social innovators. He was most recently head of Corporate Partnerships with Acumen, developing strategies and partnerships to expand access to early, patient capital for social entrepreneurs. Prior to that, he supported programmatic strategy, grantmaking operations, and investment deal flow with the Sorenson Impact Group, taking a multi-pronged approach to building a more inclusive innovation economy. Earlier in his career, he led partnership and new initiative development with Village Capital, scaling the organization to reach 1,400+ social entrepreneurs across 40+ countries.

Kora Insights is a venture services firm based in New York City that helps emerging venture capital managers unlock consistent capital and strengthen LP/GP relationships through a unified platform of AGM design, portfolio activation, LP access, and GP programming.

Kora works primarily with Fund II+ managers in Fintech and AI with $100M–$500M AUM and lean teams. The firm acts as a Fractional Head of Investor Relations, Fractional Head of Community, and Event Strategist, delivering high-impact AGMs, portfolio company business development events, curated LP introductions, and year-round community programming.
